^Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) exemption available for eligible electric, plug in hybrid or hydrogen cell vehicles purchased through a novated lease up to the Luxury Car Tax limit ($91,387 in FY 2024-25). Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles will only be eligible for the exemption if a quote is signed and returned to us on or before 31 March 2025.

*Employees must be eligible for salary packaging in accordance with the Department of Defence policies. Department of Defence employees must enter into new salary packaging arrangements with Smartsalary Pty Ltd (Smartsalary) or Smartsalary Pty Ltd trading as Smartleasing (Smartleasing) during the period of 1 April 2024 to 30 April 2024 (Campaign Period). Employees must have made their first salary packaging deduction during the Campaign Period. Employees must not have previously entered into a salary packaging arrangement outside of the Campaign Period with Smartsalary or Smartleasing whilst employed by the Department of Defence.
