Smartsalary in the community

Being a responsible business is important to us so we're committed to developing relationships with local and international communities and charities. We participate in fundraising events such as for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Cancer Council; donate our experience by working in Good Return’s offices or tree planting with Greenfleet; volunteering at RSPCA events; and packing food orders for Foodbank.

Purple meets Green

This program offers Smartleasing customers the choice to reduce the environmental impact of their car travel. Around 5,000 cars are leased by our customers every year – and this fairly high volume of vehicles will generate carbon emissions that damage the environment.

That’s why we’ve partnered with not-for-profit organisation Greenfleet to help offset the emissions. A fortnightly pre-tax donation helps offset by providing funding to Greenfleet to plant 21 native trees for each annual donation. This offsets emissions by an average of 5.6 tonnes per year.

Good Return

Good Return is a not-for-profit organisation who provides microfinance loans to women living in poverty in the Asia Pacific region. Since we started working with the charity in 2012 our staff and customers have raised significant funds for the charity through fundraising and donations. The Smartsalary team have also volunteered their time and skills to assist the Good Return office in Sydney.

Foodbank

Foodbank is the largest food relief organisation in Australia, feeding on average 88,000 people a day. They rely heavily on volunteers to help collect and deliver food, and our partnership has proved very popular with our staff. Throughout the year teams from Smartsalary volunteer at Foodbank warehouses picking and packing food orders and helping with general warehouse duties.

Cancer Council Relay For Life

Relay For Life is a relay-style walk or run, held all over Australia every year in aid of Cancer Council. The Smartsalary team takes part in the ATO Melbourne event, running over 100km.
